Pinwheel of anxiety (2019)
Pinwheel of anxiety (2019)
I found
inspiriration for this piece while looking at a little plastic pinwheel in my
garden reflecting the rays of the morning sun. I was filled with anxiety about
my future. Anxiety in general, became a permanent feeling, so I decided to
create an image of it. Our anxiety tends
to whisper us lies about ourselves and
give us
a sense that everything can fall apart at any moment. However, if we
live with anxiety for a long time we can start to realize that the catastrophes
we are so afraid of, never happen. And in moments like these we can realize
that how much we have grown, not unlike a butterfly which is almost out of its
coccon.
